Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Senior Product Owner (Wealth Management Foundations), you will join Turnberry's Business Agility practice. Turnberry's Business Agility practice provides ways-of-working assessments with supporting improvement recommendations, Product Management and Agile Delivery education opportunities, team and enterprise-level Product and Agile coaching, and strategic staffing for each of the skills required to drive Agile and/or Project to Product transformation journeys.

Responsibilities:

Work as a key team member on a cross functional team, responsible for continuous delivery of value to the customer through compelling and empowering customer experiences

Collaborate with Product Manager and stakeholders to ensure work prioritization is aligned with priorities and overall product roadmap as well as to provide product development feedback and direction

Lean into the work of developing and socializing the product strategy with senior leaders across the company

Continuously innovate and evolve the product in alignment with strategic priorities

Create, maintain, and evolve the product roadmap

Maintain and refine product backlog: Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy

Ensure stories clearly communicate the customer and stakeholder needs to meet key business objectives and strategies for the product

Available for consultation during agile team planning and grooming sessions as needed

Coach team members on effective product management and agile techniques to help mature the abilities of the entire team

Facilitate efforts across other product teams to align product roadmaps and sprint plans, in an effort to focus on delivering the maximum business value to the organization

As a functional leader of an agile team, ensure the team is aligned around similar goals and objectives and attend all team meetings

Engage with customers and users on a regular basis to uncover implicit and explicit needs

Develop and track key value drivers that measure effectiveness of product discovery, overall product performance, and communicate these to stakeholders and business leaders on a regular basis

Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles.

Inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction (Product/Agile/DevOps)

Support and/or develop an environment in which employees and colleagues are focused on continuous improvement, exceptional employee engagement, and an unwavering commitment to our clients

Shape and/or support a culture that represents the purpose, promise and values, ensuring that company trust and reputation remain strong with its clients

No direct personnel supervisory responsibility, however, supervise large complex product teams with cross-functional team members

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Industry/Domain Expertise

7-10 years of relevant business experience, particularly of Wealth Management and Financial Data products, including end-to-end management of financial products and services

Agile Leadership

10+ years of experience leading Agile Product Teams (SCRUM and Kanban frameworks are a MUST), guiding teams and clarifying requirements and expectations

Strategic Vision and Product Management

10+ years of hands-on execution and delivery experience driving value aligned with product vision and high-impact business objectives

Skilled in translating strategic initiatives into actionable features and user stories, driving customer value, and aligning teams around business outcomes

Decision-Making

Ability to negotiate and make timely, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment without compromising critical product success factors

Customer/Stakeholder Management

Strong relationship-building and expectation management skills with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership

Known for fostering trusted partnerships, continuous improvement, and balancing short-term delivery with long-term vision

Communication Skills

Clear and effective communication with stakeholders, developers, and delivery teams to ensure alignment on product roadmap and incremental sprint goals

Analytical Skills

Proven ability to think critically and apply logical reasoning to help stakeholders and developers make informed decisions

API Product Ownership

Solid experience guiding the development and lifecycle of APIs, with knowledge of open-source API standards and design requirements (e.g., RESTful apps, SOAP)

Complex Initiatives

Experience working on multiple large, complex organizational initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Product Owner or similar certification

Professional Financial Services certification/licenses (i.e Series 7)

Proven success developing business cases, roadmaps, product execution strategies for complex or large-scope products

Ability to prioritize work against enterprise, division, and product strategies

Can effectively communicate rationale and impact for prioritization choices

Expert in defining high-quality business requirements and proficient in Agile story writing

Expertise with foundational product management tools, techniques and principles across discovery, design, build, release, and measure cycle

Strong leadership skills to coordinate and motivate product teams, even outside direct reporting relationships

Demonstrated experience with user interface design and best practices for usability

Advanced skills in MS Office Suite with particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

Proficient/Exposure to the following tools/applications:

Confluence, AWS, JIRA, Aha!, Miro, Figma, Trello, SaaS, GitHub, Salesforce

Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Databases, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Snag-IT

Databricks, Snowflake, AI, C, C++, C#, Java, Java Script, Python, R, VB 6.0, ASP.NET, SAP MDM, Cognos, SAS, Crystal reports, Oracle Forms and Reports 6i/9i, SSRS, Windows 95/98/XP, AVS, HP/UX, MVS, NT/ 2000 Server and Professional, LINUX, UNIX, JSON, XML

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $185,000 or the hourly equivalent.
