Epic Willow Ambulatory Analyst
Role Overview
The Epic Willow Ambulatory Analyst is responsible for the configuration, optimization, and support of Epic Willow Ambulatory pharmacy workflows. This role focuses on enhancing outpatient medication management, prescribing workflows, and pharmacy integration by working closely with clinicians, pharmacists, and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead build and configuration of Epic Willow Ambulatory module features and workflows
- Configure and support:
- Outpatient medication ordering and prescribing workflows
- Medication reconciliation and refill processes
- Pharmacy verification and dispensing workflows
- Formulary management and medication protocols
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Willow Ambulatory production issues (L2/L3)
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and go-live activities
- Collaborate with:
- Physicians, pharmacists, and nursing staff
- Ambulatory, Orders, and MyChart teams
- Ensure configurations align with:
- Clinical safety standards and medication guidelines
- Regulatory and compliance requirements
- Participate in workflow optimization and system improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior analysts and provide functional guidance

Epic Willow Ambulatory Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Epic Willow Ambulatory configuration and support
- Experience handling:
- Medication ordering and prescribing workflows
- Refill requests and pharmacy workflows
- Medication reconciliation
Epic Certification
- Epic Willow Ambulatory Certification (Mandatory)
Pharmacy & Clinical Workflow Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- Outpatient pharmacy workflows
- Medication lifecycle (prescription verification dispensing refill)
- Ability to translate clinical/pharmacy requirements into system build
Implementation & Support Experience
- Experience in:
- Build + Run (Implementation + Production Support)
- Handling L2/L3 tickets
- Enhancements and issue resolution
Stakeholder Management
- Ability to work with:
- Pharmacists and clinicians
- Business and operations teams
- Strong communication and requirement gathering skills
Tools & Functional Skills
- Experience with:
- Epic Hyperspace / Hyperdrive
- Ticketing tools (ServiceNow or similar)
- Strong documentation and troubleshooting capability
Good-to-Have Skills (Nice to Screen)
- Exposure to:
- Epic Ambulatory / Orders / MyChart integrations
- Experience with:
- Formulary configuration and medication protocols
- Knowledge of:
- ePrescribing standards and medication safety workflows
- Experience with:
- Go-lives, rollouts, or optimization initiatives
- Certification in:
- Additional Epic modules (Ambulatory, Orders, Willow Inpatient, etc.)
- Exposure to:
- US healthcare provider environments
- Offshore / global delivery experience
Experience Range
