Genesis10 is currently seeking an Analytics Platform Manager for a Remote position with a Major Utility Company located in Akron, OH. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.
**Remote location cannot be in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon or Washington at this time. Compensation: $73.00 - $83.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview: This role is part of an Analytic Services team that supports the hardware and software used for business analytics. The IT Application Configuration Analyst is responsible for working with business units and IT to deliver and maintain applications that enable business transformation, focusing on technical solutions and translating business processes into analytics and dashboards. This position will participate in the production support and enhancement lifecycle of the client's analytic systems.
Key Responsibilities: - Support reporting tool applications (Power BI, QlikView, RapidMiner, TOAD, SAS, Anaconda, etc.)
- Promote the use of tools and applications supported by the Analytics Team
- Work with business developers to promote Power BI Governance and self-service analytics
- Plan and facilitate monthly Power BI user group meetings
- Manage projects related to applications and hardware supported by the Analytics team
- Manage work assignments given to internal and external developers to ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Assist in managing reporting environments to adhere to IT Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) Controls and CIP regulations
Primary Requirements: - Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related technical discipline with 7 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of related experience is required
- Related experience should include configuring or administering systems to function per business requirements
- In-depth knowledge of the Azure data warehousing solution
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to think creatively
- Knowledge of project management concepts and tools
- Experience facilitating meetings in support of projects
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications, and presentation skills
- Experience managing multiple stages of projects, including initiating business cases, creating work plans, identifying risks, and managing costs
