Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina (Onsite)

Role Overview
The EOL/EOS Technical Analyst leads technical discovery and validation of hardware, operating systems, software, and application assets across the enterprise. This role consolidates data from ServiceNow/CMDB, vulnerability scanners, and team-owned sources; verifies vendor EOL/EOS statuses; identifies data gaps; maps dependencies; and partners with engineering SMEs to estimate remediation level of effort, cost, risk, and timeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct asset discovery and reconciliation across ServiceNow/CMDB, SolarWinds (or equivalent NMS), vulnerability tools, and team-owned inventories.
- Validate OS/software versions against vendor lifecycle (EOL/EOS) documentation; capture authoritative sources and data lineage.
- Identify CMDB data quality issues (missing CIs, stale ownership, incorrect relationships) and drive corrections with CI owners.
- Map technical dependencies across application, middleware, database, network, and hosting layers.
- Classify assets by criticality, exposure, and remediation feasibility; draft remediation options (upgrade/replace/isolate/decommission).
- Facilitate working sessions with Network, Server/Cloud, Middleware, Application, DBA, and Cybersecurity teams to confirm facts and level of effort.
- Maintain an authoritative EOL dataset with timestamps, ownership, and quality controls; contribute to standards for EOL attributes.
- Provide technical inputs to remediation playbooks, change tickets, and readiness reviews.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 4-5+ years in Infrastructure/Operations, IT Asset Management, or Technical Analysis roles.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow/CMDB (discovery, CI classes/relationships, reporting). Familiarity with SolarWinds or similar NMS. Understanding of Windows/Linux, middleware, databases, and network fundamentals. Ability to interpret vendor lifecycle and support policies (e.g., Microsoft, Red Hat, Cisco, VMware, Oracle). Advanced Excel/Sheets, intermediate SQL or ServiceNow reporting, and scripting fundamentals (PowerShell/Python/Shell).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vulnerability tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys), endpoint management (SCCM/Intune/JAMF), or cloud inventory (AWS Config/Azure Resource Graph).
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ITIL v4 practices; prior EOL/EOS remediation or migration programs.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $45.00/hr - $55.00/hr.
