Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead project planning, stakeholder engagement, execution, risk management, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience coordinating business and IT teams, managing project schedules and resources, handling risks and changes, and working in PMO-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stakeholder Engagement & Business Requirements
- Identify and analyze stakeholder needs, expectations, and influence.
- Conduct discovery meetings, interviews, and workshops to gather business requirements.
- Document, validate, and maintain business and project requirements.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives, requirements, and project scope.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Project Planning
- Develop comprehensive project plans covering timelines, milestones, resources, budgets, quality standards, and communication.
- Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and RACI matrices.
- Coordinate with business leaders, SMEs, IT teams, and vendors to define project activities and deliverables.
- Establish project schedules, dependencies, milestones, and resource requirements.
3. Project Execution & Monitoring
- Oversee project execution and track progress against approved plans.
- Monitor project schedules, deliverables, resources, and dependencies.
- Prepare dashboards, status reports, and executive-level project updates.
- Identify and resolve project issues, bottlenecks, and deviations.
- Facilitate communication and coordination across project teams.
4. Risk & Change Management
- Identify, assess, document, and monitor project risks.
- Conduct risk workshops and maintain a comprehensive risk register.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget changes through formal change-control processes.
- Track issues and ensure timely resolution.
5. Resource & Vendor Management
- Coordinate business and IT resource allocation.
- Manage vendor relationships and support vendor onboarding activities.
- Assist with technical requirements, compliance, and contract-related activities.
- Coordinate with quality, security, architecture, and other technical teams.
- Monitor vendor deliverables and ensure alignment with project requirements.
6. Communication & Reporting
- Develop communication plans tailored to different stakeholder groups.
- Lead project status meetings, steering committee meetings, risk reviews, and quality meetings.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and project documentation.
7. Quality Assurance & Delivery
- Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and requirements.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect-resolution activities.
- Coordinate go-live planning, rollout readiness, and implementation activities.
- Ensure project closure activities are completed.
- Conduct lessons-learned sessions and document project outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Experience in risk mitigation and issue resolution.
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Experience with data analysis and decision-making.
- Experience working in PMO-driven environments is highly desirable.
- Experience coordinating business and IT stakeholders is highly desirable.
- Experience with vendor management and contract oversight.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, dependencies, and stakeholders.
