job summary:
For this contractor assignment, the Lead Business Systems Analyst will support the DMZ to HSZ PCI Migration initiative, a multi-phase modernization effort that will relocate our application from the DMZ to the HSZ environment while improving application architecture, modernizing legacy technologies, and reducing technical debt. The analyst will partner with technical leads, developers, and business stakeholders to define requirements, facilitate discovery sessions, translate complex technical concepts into actionable work items, and drive backlog creation for key modernization features including API modernization, document retrieval modernization, and migration of legacy server-hosted pages.

responsibilities:
- Facilitate requirements gathering, discovery workshops, backlog refinement sessions, and technical design discussions.
- Partner with solution architects, technical leads, and developers to define functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate complex technical conversations into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and Azure DevOps work items.
- Develop and maintain project backlogs, storyboards, and requirements documentation.
- Analyze application dependencies, integrations, APIs, client/server interactions, and modernization impacts.
- Identify business and technical risks, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies across multiple systems.
- Support estimation, planning, and prioritization activities for modernization features.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including standups, planning sessions, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to validate requirements and ensure successful delivery.
qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology, business discipline or related field of study and a minimum 6 years of related work experience in requirements gathering activities or systems experience.
-In lieu of the above, the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of 6 years related work experience in requirements gathering activities or systems experience.
