Role Overview
This position supports the digital modernization of the Navy and Marine Corps by providing secure, end-to-end IT services. The role involves enhancing mission readiness in challenging environments, supporting critical intelligence access, and improving network agility, security, and efficiency. The candidate will join a team responsible for integrating network operations, cybersecurity, and transport services for over 650,000 users across more than 2,500 locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate communication hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN), Base Area Networks (BAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
- Administer LAN/BAN/WAN environments.
- Schedule and manage network conversions and cutovers.
- Coordinate with all responsible users and sites to ensure seamless network operations.
- Utilize specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks.
- Integrate and test complex, large-scale computer integrated networks.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of network-related experience is required.
Technical Skills:- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required.
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent IAT Level II certification) is required.
- Proficiency with Cisco technologies.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $31.00 and $38.00 per hour. As a contract employee, you may be eligible for benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, hospitalization coverage, a 401k plan, and referral programs. Pay is distributed weekly via direct deposit.
