Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Retail Technical Architect to lead the design, integration, and delivery of our Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (MFCS) ecosystem. This is a high-impact, hands-on architectural role. You will bridge the gap between complex retail business strategies and modern cloud technology, ensuring seamless data flows, robust integrations, and scalable extensions.

The ideal candidate has spent the last decade-plus mastering Oracle Retail suites, with proven, firsthand implementation experience successfully deploying MFCS in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership & Governance

• Serve as the primary technical authority for the Oracle Retail MFCS platform and its peripheral cloud services (e.g., Resa, Reim, RPM).

• Define the end-to-end technical architecture, integration patterns, and data migration strategies.

• Enforce cloud architecture best practices, security standards, and performance optimization protocols.

Integration & Extension Design

• Design and govern complex integrations between MFCS and third-party/legacy systems using Oracle Retail Integration Cloud Service (RICS), BDI, USM, and REST APIs.

• Architect extension strategies using Oracle Retail''s cloud-approved customization frameworks, ensuring zero disruption to the SaaS upgrade path.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner closely with Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, and Executive Stakeholders to translate retail requirements into technical blueprints.

• Lead technical delivery teams, providing mentorship, code/design reviews, and resolving deep technical roadblocks.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Strict Requirement: Candidates must have direct, hands-on implementation experience with Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (MFCS). General on-premise RMS experience alone will not suffice.

• Experience: 10–15 years of technical experience in Oracle Retail implementations, with a distinct focus on cloud migrations (SaaS).

• Core Technical Stack: Deep expertise in MFCS, RICS, Oracle Jet, PL/SQL, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and retail data models.

• Integration Mastery: Proven track record designing real-time and batch integration architectures within retail environments.

• Geographic Flexibility: Must reside in the US or Canada. While the role is remote-friendly, candidates local to or willing to travel occasionally to Plano, TX will be given top priority.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with other Oracle Retail Cloud Services (e.g., ORASET, Science, Allocation).

• Experience navigating Oracle''s Service Requests (SR) process and working directly with Oracle product engineering teams.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical architecture to non-technical business partners.
