Senior IT Project Manager / Certified Scrum Master (Hybrid)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior IT Project Manager / Certified Scrum Master is responsible for the overall management and execution of technology initiatives using a hybrid delivery approach-leading multiple Agile/Scrum Product Teams while also managing traditional (waterfall) projects as needed. This role will initially serve as Scrum Master for two established product teams (e.g., Pricing and Fraud) with the potential to stand up and scale additional teams over time. In parallel, this position may assume responsibility for smaller, matrixed projects that require classic project planning, budgeting, and governance.

The ideal candidate is a strong Agile practitioner who coaches teams toward high performance and predictable delivery, while also possessing a solid foundation in traditional project management, PMO discipline, and financial services/fintech delivery environments. They will utilize industry best practices, methodologies, and frameworks to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification, while meeting all requirements for Steering Committee / governance approvals, reporting, and oversight.

They will develop and submit required deliverables, budgets, timelines, and reports per Steering Committee procedures and the IT project management framework. They will establish effective communication plans and ensure that status updates are communicated to senior management and stakeholders. They will partner with IT managers and subject matter experts to define technology requirements, risks, and delivery plans. They will also prepare agendas and minutes for assigned projects and report to the Steering Committee as assigned.

NATURE AND SCOPE

Establishes and maintains effective communications, coordination, and working relations with Product Owners, IT leadership, project resources, and staff. Requires proven experience leading multiple Scrum teams and managing traditional projects within a matrixed organization. Keeps assigned initiatives moving forward-removing blockers, maintaining delivery cadence, and ensuring governance compliance-while balancing stakeholder expectations across business units.
