RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Digital Experience Design UX/UI Designer to join a collaborative Experience Design (XD) team focused on delivering user-centered, intuitive, and impactful digital experiences.
Summary:
This role will partner closely with technology teams, product stakeholders, and business partners to design and build an associate-facing application within a highly collaborative Agile environment. The ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior level UX/UI designer with strong experience creating enterprise applications, building wireframes and prototypes in Figma, and partnering cross-functionally to translate complex business requirements into intuitive user experiences. Candidates must be located in or able to work a hybrid schedule from one of the following locations, Charlotte, Birmingham, or Atlanta.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead design activities to create intuitive, user-centered digital experiences for internal associate-facing applications
* Partner closely with cross-functional teams including technology, product, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
* Translate complex business requirements and functional specifications into design concepts and roadmaps
* Design information architecture, user interfaces, and interaction models
* Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, interaction models, and low-to-high fidelity prototypes
* Develop and maintain detailed UI specifications for development teams
* Ensure designs align with established design systems and industry best practices
* Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs
* Participate in observational and usability research activities
* Work with accessibility partners to ensure designs meet accessibility standards and requirements
* Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, PI Planning, retrospectives, and Inspect & Adapt sessions
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED and ten (10) years of related post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience in experience design, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and six (6) years of relevant experience in experience design
* Strong UX/UI design experience in a mid-to-senior level role
* Experience creating wireframes and user interface designs
* Experience using Figma
* Portfolio showcasing design process, UX thinking, and problem-solving abilities
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional technology and business teams
* Experience designing associate-facing or enterprise applications
* Strong understanding of user interface design, interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility standards
* Ability to communicate effectively with developers, technical leads, and business stakeholders
* Experience working in Agile or SAFe Agile environments
* Strong user-centered design mindset
* Ability to balance business requirements, technical constraints, and user needs
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to independently manage priorities and drive design initiatives
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and flexibility
* Strong technical acumen and ability to work effectively with engineering teams
* Comfortable working with teams that have varying levels of UX/UI maturity
* Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Preferred Qualifications:
* Banking, financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industry experience
* Experience contributing to or working within design systems
* Experience with design tools such as Sketch and Adobe products
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
