Title: Senior IT Business Analyst Energy Transmission

We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives within the Utility Transmission organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements elicitation, business process analysis, solution design, testing, and user acceptance.

Experience supporting Electric Utility, Transmission, Energy, or Operational Technology (OT) environments is mandatory. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, conduct GAP analysis, document business processes, support testing activities, and ensure technology solutions align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering workshops and collaborate with business stakeholders to define business and functional requirements.
• Conduct GAP analysis and document AS-IS and TO-BE business process flows.
• Develop user stories, use cases, functional specifications, process maps, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work closely with development and QA teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in solution design discussions and support business process improvements.
• Create test plans, manual test cases, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios, ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive project and functional documentation.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
• Experience supporting Electric Utility, Transmission, Energy, or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• Strong experience in requirements elicitation, stakeholder workshops, and business process analysis.
• Proven expertise in documenting AS-IS and TO-BE process flows.
• Experience creating user stories, functional specifications, use cases, and RTMs.
• Hands-on experience across the SDLC, including testing, test planning, and UAT support.
• Working knowledge of Waterfall methodology, business process re-engineering, and basic database/software concepts.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and documentation skills.
