Description
We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including policy administration and development units, to deliver impactful solutions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in insurance processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to document and refine business requirements effectively.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the policy team to analyze, document, and enhance business processes.
Work independently and alongside other Business Analysts on various epics and stories.
Communicate effectively with both onshore and offshore QA teams to ensure project alignment.
Partner with development teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
Prepare detailed documentation and user stories to support system improvements.
Utilize Confluence for organizing and presenting project findings.
Present updates and solutions to senior IT managers and other stakeholders.
Support software development methodologies by writing and refining stories.
Identify gaps in current processes and propose actionable solutions.
Coordinate with configuration analysts and development teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
Proven experience in the insurance industry, ideally within life and annuities.
Strong background in business analysis, including requirements gathering and documentation.
Ability to work onsite five days a week.
Experience collaborating with development teams and writing user stories.
Capability to manage tasks independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with policy administration systems is preferred.
Knowledge of tax-related processes is a plus.
Proficiency in tools such as Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook.
