Position Title: Business Systems Analyst
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000
Overview
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) supports and improves the organization's ERP and reporting environment. This role focuses on optimizing system performance, strengthening data integrity, and delivering accurate, timely reporting to support business decision-making. The BSA maintains, enhances, and automates reporting tools while partnering with teams across the organization to ensure systems and data meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
ERP & System Support
- Serve as the primary contact for ERP-related issues, enhancements, and integrations.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for system changes.
- Support data management strategies and ensure alignment between systems and business processes.
- Maintain data accuracy and troubleshoot system challenges.
Reporting, Data, & Analysis
- Work with stakeholders to define reporting needs, KPIs, and metrics.
- Maintain, update, and automate recurring reports across ERP, databases, and reporting platforms.
- Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across systems.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends and analysis.
Project Support & Strategy
- Lead system improvement initiatives and ERP-related projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for data, reporting, and governance.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to team members working on technical or analytical tasks.
Operational Support
- Troubleshoot issues and support minor system updates.
- Assist with data cleansing, validation, and reporting tasks.
- Build technical and analytical skills under the guidance of senior team members.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of business analysis methods and practices.
- Knowledge of major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics); familiarity with Infor Visual is a plus.
- Experience with SQL and Power BI reporting tools.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in ERP support, reporting, or business analysis.
- Experience participating in ERP system administration or implementation.
- Familiarity with project management practices and tools.
