Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Starburst DevOps/Admin to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Starburst platform installation, configuration, and administration on OpenShift/Kubernetes, and a proven ability to maintain stable production environments, resolve complex incidents, and drive platform best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure Starburst across production and lower environments.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute platform maintenance, disaster recovery, and software release activities.
- Serve as L3+ escalation for platform issues, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Configure and tune environments for performance, reliability, and security.
- Perform capacity and stability monitoring, and assist with metrics collection and reporting.
- Define, review, document, and communicate standards and best practices for the shared platform.
- Configure connectivity for Starburst, including JDBC and data source integrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Starburst software installation and configuration.
- Working knowledge of OpenShift and Kubernetes, including containerized deployments.
- Proven troubleshooting and incident resolution skills at L3 or higher.
- Ability to analyze and communicate root cause and remediation steps clearly.
- Familiarity with Starburst security model and best practices.
- Experience with connectivity configuration for Starburst and SQL query tuning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- JDBC connectivity setup and data source integration patterns.
- Background with Hadoop ecosystems.
