Position Overview
The Manager, Product Development (Program Lead) is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of products, solutions, and applications within a large-scale electronic tolling program. This role ensures that products align with operational roadmaps, business requirements, and established standards while delivering customer-focused, high-quality solutions.
The position works closely with operations leadership, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, continuous improvement, and effective governance across product initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Delivery
- Lead research and development efforts for product design, enhancement, and qualification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and transition products from development to production.
- Support planning of delivery and deployment schedules for new releases, enhancements, and maintenance activities.
- Act as a technical advisor to operations teams, overseeing testing and evaluation of emerging technologies.
- Ensure product and technology specifications align with overall business objectives.
- Manage schedules, dependencies, and tasks across all phases of product development.
Operational Governance & Reporting
- Maintain a centralized inventory of products, solutions, and applications.
- Track and report initiative updates in alignment with established reporting standards.
- Monitor inputs from multiple business units to ensure functional and performance requirements are met.
- Identify lifecycle improvements and replacement needs; prepare summaries and documentation for leadership review.
- Partner with business intelligence teams to support dashboards and performance reporting.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are documented, maintained, and updated throughout the product lifecycle.
Strategic Support & Continuity
- Develop in-depth knowledge of program operations to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
- Provide operational support during emergency response situations to ensure continuity of services.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Education
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field
OR equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Product engineering or product management
- Technology operations or systems integration
- Technical program or lifecycle management
