Job Description:
Technical Project Manager (Data Engineering & CDP)

Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to join the centralized Technical Project Management team within BizTech. This role will primarily support data engineering initiatives, with a strong focus on Customer Data Platform (CDP) programs and complex data migrations, while occasionally supporting non-data projects as business needs require.
This TPM will play a critical role in driving clarity, alignment, and execution across cross-functional teams. We are looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, is comfortable wearing many hats, and actively dives in wherever needed from shaping documentation and requirements, to organizing sprint workflows, to facilitating executive-level conversations. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong technical fluency, exceptional communication skills, and end-to-end ownership of complex programs.
Role & Responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery of complex data programs, with primary responsibility for CDP initiatives from planning and prioritization through execution, launch, and business impact reviews.
Serve as the primary point of coordination between business stakeholders, technical owners, CDP and data engineering teams, and Data Leadership to close gaps, resolve dependencies, and maintain alignment.
Facilitate quarterly planning activities and maintain prioritization frameworks and scorecards to support roadmap and sequencing decisions.
Drive project clarity by producing high-quality documentation, including requirements, milestone plans, dependency maps, technical diagrams, and architecture overviews.
Partner closely with engineering teams to translate technical requirements into well-structured Jira epics and user stories, ensuring readiness for development and delivery.
Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery rituals as needed; help teams stay organized, unblocked, and focused on outcomes.
Own and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, execution, coordination with stakeholders, issue tracking, and sign-off.
Act as the face of projects in stakeholder and leadership forums, confidently presenting progress, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
Own SteerCo operations end-to-end, including scheduling, building executive-level materials, facilitating sessions, driving follow-ups, and supporting decision-making conversations.
Skills & Experience Required
7+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or Technical Program Manager, with a strong track record delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Demonstrated experience leading data engineering, platform, or large-scale technical programs; familiarity with data warehouse pipelines and CDP-related workflows is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of the full project delivery lifecycle, including planning, discovery, solution design, execution, testing, launch, and post-delivery review.
High degree of technical fluency and comfort collaborating with engineers on requirements, architecture, dependencies, and delivery tradeoffs (deep hands-on coding experience not required).
Proven ability to create clear, structured documentation including requirements, process flows, diagrams, and architecture maps that drives alignment and execution.
Ability to manage detailed project plans across multiple workstreams at once - keeping information up to date and team members all informed of outstanding items.
Deep experience translating business and technical needs into actionable Jira epics and user stories.
Strong facilitation skills across sprint planning, discovery, solution design, UAT, stakeholder working sessions, and executive reviews.
Exceptional communication skills, with comfort presenting to and influencing senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Highly proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating outside of strict role boundaries to help teams succeed.
Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams.
Experience working in SaaS or technology-driven environments with distributed teams.
