OverviewWe are seeking a Systems Integration & Requirements Engineer to support system-level requirements development, integration, verification, and test activities. This role is hands-on in an engineering lab environment and involves scripting, analysis, documentation, and coordination with cross-functional technical teams. The position requires the ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers while performing system evaluation and verification tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Support systems software, systems hardware, and systems test/integration activities
- Develop and manage system requirements and maintain traceability
- Create MATLAB scripts and functions to support analysis, evaluation, and test automation
- Develop tools, utilities, or scripts using C++, Python, or comparable languages
- Generate technical documentation including:
- Test plans
- Test procedures
- Technical reports
- Perform integration and verification tasks in:
- Engineering labs
- Test facilities
- Field environments (as needed)
- Evaluate systems using simulated environments and analyze performance metrics
- Collaborate with internal engineering groups and interface with external customers
- Support troubleshooting and investigation of system-level issues
- Participate in cross-functional reviews and technical discussions to ensure system compliance and readiness
Required Qualifications- Minimum 5+ years of engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Systems software
- Systems hardware
- Systems integration
- Systems test
- Requirements development
- Experience using languages/tools such as:
- MATLAB
- Python, C++, or similar
- Experience working hands-on in integration labs or test environments
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to start with an active Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications- Experience developing MATLAB scripts and functions for analysis
- Experience evaluating or validating systems in simulated environments
- Familiarity with engineering processes such as:
- Requirements decomposition
- Systems verification/validation
- Test-procedure development
- Experience with technical customer interaction
- Demonstrated ability to generate high-quality technical documentation
- Experience in field test or hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) integration
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in collaborative environments
Work Environment- Onsite, highly collaborative engineering setting
- Frequent interaction with systems, software, hardware, and test engineering teams
- Hands-on lab integration and evaluation work
