Senior Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering And Analysis:

• Collaborates with stakeholders and project teams to elicit, analyze, validate, and prioritize business requirements.
• Conducts requirement gathering through workshops, interviews, surveys, site visits, use cases, and workflow analysis.
• Defines scope, impact, and success criteria for requirements on a project-by-project basis.
• Analyzes requirements for completeness, consistency, feasibility, and alignment with standards.

Documentation And Modeling:

• Develops clear and concise business and functional requirement specifications using standard templates.
• Translates business needs into functional requirements understandable to technical teams.
• Creates process models, diagrams, workflows, and charts to guide development and implementation.
• Conducts peer reviews to ensure accuracy and clarity of requirements documentation.

Solution Evaluation And Implementation:

• Participates in the evaluation and selection of software solutions.
• Supports QA efforts to ensure implemented solutions meet business requirements and are optimized.
• Assists in interpreting business requirements into feasible technical solutions.

Project Lifecycle And Stakeholder Management:

• Manages and tracks requirements throughout the project lifecycle, updating status as needed.
• Communicates changes, enhancements, and impacts to stakeholders, project managers, and sponsors.
• Participates in testing activities, including test script creation and validation.
• Works closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of project objectives.

Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
• Master s degree preferred.

Experience:

• 7 10 years of experience in business analysis or related roles.
• Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, and validation.
• Proficiency with business IT applications and tools such as MS Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to lead discussions and influence decision-making with senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Electric Generation Interconnection programs.
• Experience with Electric Distribution, Transmission, Substation, or asset management processes.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver large-scale technology solutions and business process improvements.
