Electrical Engineer III

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma (Onsite)

Role Overview

As an Electrical Engineer III, you will manage complex projects that directly impact operations. You will apply your expertise to design solutions, troubleshoot issues, and drive innovation. This role involves leading small teams, collaborating across disciplines, and delivering clear presentations to stakeholders. Your ability to balance technical depth with project leadership is a key contributor to success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks for critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
  • Promote the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement robust safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability.
  • Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities.
  • Participate in complex engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college or university in a relevant field with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and four years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or a related industry.

Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as a main priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
  • Knowledge of reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements.
  • Working knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.).
  • Knowledge in power system design, analysis, and simulation (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink, or similar tools).
  • Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear.
  • Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems.
  • Experience in supporting procurement processes for electrical equipment and materials.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Experience with PLCs.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects.
  • Experience supporting the design and implementation of Instrumentation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
  • Experience with the commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications.
