Senior Tech Writer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Tech Writer in Coppell, TX.

Responsibilities:
* Lead the review and improvement of an enterprise knowledge base, identifying content gaps and establishing priorities for updates
* Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
* Create procedures, user guides, knowledge articles, runbooks, FAQs, and other support materials
* Establish documentation standards for content structure, terminology, formatting, tagging, and ongoing maintenance
* Partner with subject matter experts to research processes, validate technical information, and ensure documentation remains accurate
* Organize and manage documentation requests, priorities, deadlines, and content updates
* Create reusable templates, style guidelines, and standards that improve consistency across documentation
* Translate complex technology and operational processes into clear, easy-to-understand instructions
* Incorporate stakeholder feedback and update documentation as systems, policies, and processes evolve
* Use AI-assisted tools appropriately to improve content development while maintaining accuracy and quality

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in technical writing, knowledge management, documentation, content strategy, or a related field
* Proven experience leading or supporting enterprise documentation and knowledge management initiatives
* Experience with enterprise knowledge base, content management, or service management platforms
* Experience developing documentation standards, templates, style guides, and content governance practices
* Experience collaborating with technical subject matter experts to research and validate information
* Experience using AI-assisted writing tools with an understanding of appropriate review and fact-checking practices
* Working knowledge of information technology concepts and common technical processes
* Strong editing, research, organization, and information management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools
* Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into concise, accessible content
* Experience supporting IT, security, financial services, or other regulated environments is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
