Reporting To: Chief Data Officer

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Data & AI leader to serve as a direct report (N-1) to the Chief Data Officer, driving enterprise-wide data strategy execution, AI transformation, and data-driven business outcomes. This role will play a critical part in translating the organization s data vision into scalable solutions, while partnering closely with business and technology leaders across the enterprise. Should be able to do good ontology is to understand the business very well. Strong experience in ontologies is required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Strategy & Execution
  • Partner with the Chief Data Officer to operationalize the enterprise data strategy and roadmap
  • Drive implementation of data platforms, governance frameworks, and analytics capabilities
  • Ensure alignment of data initiatives with business priorities and measurable outcomes
  1. AI & Advanced Analytics Leadership
  • Lead development and deployment of AI/ML solutions across key business functions
  • Identify high-impact use cases and drive adoption of predictive and prescriptive analytics
  • Oversee data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics teams
  1. Data Engineering
  • Establish and enforce data governance, data quality, and data security standards
  • Ensure compliance with US regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA where applicable)
  • Promote data stewardship and accountability across the organization
  1. Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with business leaders to enable data-driven decision-making
  • Act as a trusted advisor to CXOs and functional heads
  • Drive change management and data literacy across the enterprise
  1. Team Leadership & Capability Building
  • Build, mentor, and scale high-performing data, analytics, and engineering teams
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Drive hiring, retention, and capability development strategies

Key Requirements

  • 15-18 years of experience in Data, Analytics, and AI, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles
  • Proven experience working closely with or reporting to a Chief Data Officer / CXO
  • Strong expertise in data platforms, cloud ecosystems, and AI/ML technologies
  • Demonstrated success in driving enterprise-scale data transformation programs
  • Experience in industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, BFSI, or Technology preferred
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory frameworks in the US
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in global organizations and managing distributed teams
  • Exposure to GenAI, MLOps, and modern data stack tools
