The ideal candidate is a strong full stack engineer with deep expertise in Java and Angular, along with experience building and supporting modern, cloud-native applications. While full stack experience across UI, API, and database layers is preferred, candidates must demonstrate strong Angular front-end development skills combined with experience in at least one additional layer of the application stack.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable applications that support business-critical regulatory processes.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and support enterprise-grade applications using Java and Angular technologies.
  • Build responsive, scalable, and user-friendly web interfaces using Angular.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.
  • Design, optimize, and support SQL database solutions, including data modeling and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, QA teams, and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in Agile development ceremonies, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices to ensure secure and reliable software delivery.
  • Contribute to application modernization and cloud-native development initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions that improve application performance and reliability.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with Java technologies.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JSON, XML, JDBC, JPA, and unit testing frameworks.
  • 6+ years of experience building modern web applications using Angular.
  • 3+ years of experience with REST API development and/or SQL database development.
  • Experience developing and supporting microservices-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift (OCP) deployments and containerized applications.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL Server database development, including stored procedures, query optimization, and data modeling.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence for project delivery and documentation.
  • Experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or Grafana.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, GitHub Copilot Agent, Devin, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with React in addition to Angular.
Additional Information
  • This role supports a high-visibility policy governance platform with frequent enhancement initiatives and monthly production releases.
  • Contractors are expected to work standard business hours and are not typically required to participate in release-related after-hours support.
  • Position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and requires participation in on-site interviews.
