Genesis10 is currently seeking a Hadoop Developer - Onsite for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. An experienced Hadoop Data Engineer is needed to work for a Data Lake team, responsible for the implementation, configuration, and operation of a greenfield data analytics platform. This role will involve providing guidance to development partners for data collection, database schemas, and presentation layers within an Agile environment.
Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain a systems architecture that will address existing and emergent business requirements
- Socialize and validate the systems architecture with other business units
- Database Schema Design and Documentation
- Partner with the Product Owners and Engineering Teams to engineer data collection solutions
- Engineer and Configure Database Solution including schemas, queries and analytics
- Partner with colleagues to implement appropriate data models and views
- Operational support for Data Lake on SDP
Requirements: - Experienced Big Data Developer with good knowledge of Hadoop and Spark
- Experience architecting and building data pipelines
- Previously worked within Agile environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Good knowledge of Hadoop Concepts
- Good knowledge of HIVE
- Good knowledge of RDBMS concepts along with advance SQL
- Good knowledge of Python

- Bitbucket, Jenkins and Ansible
- SQOOP
- Unix Shell Scripting
