Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer, with a title of Sr. Scrum Master, to lead the IAM and Defense Agile Release Trains (ART) within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. This role is pivotal in enabling the delivery of secure, high-quality solutions by driving alignment, execution, and continuous improvement. As a servant leader and coach, the RTE will facilitate ART events, remove impediments, manage risks, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability to ensure cybersecurity initiatives are delivered with speed, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary servant leader and coach for the Cybersecurity ARTs, specifically supporting the Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Defense ARTs.
- Facilitate all ART-level events including PI Planning, ART Sync, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Lead end-to-end Program Increment (PI) execution, ensuring delivery against committed objectives and tracking progress with relevant metrics.
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks, impediments, and cross-team dependencies.
- Coach Scrum Masters and Agile teams to improve maturity and effectiveness, promoting best practices in Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
- Optimize the flow of value by improving processes, reducing bottlenecks, and managing WIP.
- Enable DevOps practices and continuous delivery pipelines within Cybersecurity constraints.
- Ensure alignment with Cybersecurity priorities, compliance standards, and risk management practices.
- Partner with leadership to implement best practices in governance, delivery, and support Lean-Agile transformation efforts.
- Support Executive-level communication, summarizing ART delivery details for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer or Senior Scrum Master in a SAFe environment.
- 1+ years of working experience in JIRA as it relates to metrics and dashboards is highly desired.
- Experience solving complex business and technical problems and identifying solutions.
- Experience supporting or leading Executive-level communication and facilitating discussions.
Skills:- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to use critical thinking to identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets.
- Skilled influencer, negotiator, consensus-builder, and change agent.
- Ability to remain flexible and work effectively as priorities shift to meet enterprise objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training and/or certification (e.g., RTE, SPC, SAFe Agilist).
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $70.00/hr - $75.00/hr
