Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Lead, AI Operations and Support. This role will act as a strategic and technical liaison between architecture teams, technology groups, and AI leadership. The position involves providing hands-on expertise and guidance in operating, supporting, and scaling AI systems across traditional machine learning, generative, and agentic AI domains. The ideal candidate will have deep AWS knowledge and strong leadership capabilities to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical lead for AIOps and support, providing guidance and thought leadership.
- Monitor production models for performance, drift, and groundedness to ensure reliability.
- Oversee the support for traditional ML models, generative AI chatbots, and emerging agentic AI systems.
- Support the evaluation and rollout of new AWS services like Amazon Quick and AWS AgentCore.
- Manage and lead a support team that handles day-to-day ticketing and incident resolution related to data pipelines and AI systems.
- Monitor agent-based workflows, tracking metrics such as task success rates, latency, and reasoning steps.
- Communicate effectively with developers and executive leadership to explain technical challenges, system issues, and underlying causes.
Required Qualifications
- Deep experience with AWS infrastructure and architectural design, including CloudWatch, IAM, and core compute, storage, and networking services.
- Proficiency with AWS AI services, such as Amazon Bedrock and QuickSight (formerly Quick Suite).
- Demonstrated experience supporting machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI solutions in production environments.
- Solid understanding of AIOps practices and core monitoring concepts, including data drift, performance degradation, alerting, and hallucination detection.
- Production experience with generative AI solutions like chatbots and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) or grounding approaches.
- Strong technical leadership with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience with AWS AgentCore.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $90.00/hr - $95.00/hr
