Walmart's Global Design organization is responsible for shaping the experiences that connect customers, associates and partners to our mission: Save Money. Live Better. We are multidisciplinary team of product designers, design researchers, content designers, design technologists and operators, practicing across Walmart US, Sam's Club, International, and the Enterprise. We are a craft-based, strategic design team delivering transformation of every touchpoint across all of Walmart.
As part of Global Design, you'll work in a highly collaborative environment with product, engineering, content, research, business, and design system partners to shape experiences that balance user needs, business goals, and operational realities. We are building a design culture rooted in craft, clarity, inclusion, and impact.

About the role
As a Senior UX Designer, you will design thoughtful, end-to-end experiences for complex products and services. You'll turn ambiguity into clarity, help define problems, explore concepts, and deliver polished solutions that are useful, usable, and scalable.
This role is ideal for a designer who brings strong interaction design, systems thinking, and collaboration skills. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners and use insights from research, data, and business context to inform design decisions. You'll also contribute to design quality across the organization by sharing your perspective, elevating craft, and helping strengthen team practices.

What you'll do
  • Design end-to-end user experiences across workflows, features, and platforms.
  • Translate complex problems, requirements, and constraints into clear and elegant UX solutions.
  • Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design inten
  • Partner closely with product managers, engineers, content designers, researchers, and other cross-functional stakeholders throughout the product development process.
  • Use research insights, AI, agentic design, analytics, market context, and feedback to shape decisions and refine design direction.
  • Present design work clearly and persuasively, explaining rationale, tradeoffs, and recommendations to a range of audiences.
  • Contribute to design strategy within your product area by identifying opportunities, framing problems, and aligning design solutions to user and business needs.
  • Ensure experiences are accessible, inclusive, and consistent across markets and touchpoints where applicable.
  • Work with design systems and established patterns to create scalable solutions, and contribute new patterns when needed.
  • Maintain a high bar for craft, quality, and detail in interaction, visual, and experience design.
  • Support a healthy design culture through collaboration, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

What you'll bring
  • Experience designing digital products and experiences from concept through delivery.
  • Strong UX design skills across interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, and visual communication.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and create clear, user-centered solutions.
  • Strong systems thinking and an understanding of how individual features connect to larger journeys and platforms.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and influencing decisions with product, engineering, and business partners.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to present work effectively and build alignment.
  • Attention to detail and a high standard for design craft and usability.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design principles.
  • Experience working within, contributing to, or extending design systems.

Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Digital Design, Information Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in UX, product, or experience design.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking, craft, and shipped work.
  • Experience designing for complex ecosystems, multi-sided platforms, or global products is a plus.
  • Experience working across multiple product areas, platforms, or user types is a plus.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 3 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 5 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
