System Administrator: Fulltime role **On-Site ***
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in each of the following:
Systems design, maintenance, analysis, and testing;
Complex technology implementations, with an eye toward consistent reengineering and refactoring;
Implementing and supporting Microsoft Enterprise technologies (Windows Server, AD, etc.);
Supporting and implementing Linux platform services;
Leveraging Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers and relevant services;
Continuous integration/deployment, and continuous monitoring solutions;
Coordinating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements;
Direct team members in compiling business requirements and executing project milestones;
Documenting enterprise architecture infrastructure;
Determining gaps between current and the target architecture and developing plans for transitioning to target architectures.
Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum eight (8) years of experience sharing knowledge across a multi-disciplinary team and working within various methodologies.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working on information technology (IT) projects in support of governmental agencies.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience with the architecture and implementation of applications in the cloud, On-premises, and hybrid environments (VmWare, HyperV, Containerized Services);
Minimum of five (5) years of experience designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure as code (eg: terraform, cloudformation).
System Administrator: Roles & Responsibilities:
The System Administrator resource will be expected to provide server implementation, maintenance, OS, and backup expertise. Some likely tasks for the System Administrator include:
Implement technology solutions in alignment with requirements;
Perform software or system upgrades;
Refine logging and monitoring solutions in alignment with business requirements;
Assist with disaster recovery exercises;
Implement redundant infrastructure;
Capacity and reliability planning; and
Outline monthly patching procedures.
