Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Database Architect in Albany, NY.
Description:
The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing databases to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and data integrity. The consultant will collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and IT teams to support business operations and strategic initiatives. Generate and distribute standard & complex reports and dashboards. Maintain detailed logs of data management activities and issues.
The candidate for this position will be responsible for, but not limited to:
? Participate in meetings to understand data needs and communicate updates on data status.
? Maintain detailed logs of data management activities and issues.
? Stay updated on company data policies, compliance requirements, and best practices.
? Learn new data management tools and technologies as required.
? Complete all assigned tasks.
? Assist in documenting data sources, definitions, and lineage (data dictionaries, metadata).
? Execute complex queries (using SQL or similar) to extract data for reports or analysis as requested.
. Ensures that project goals/objectives are met.
Mandatory Qualifications:
? Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviews objectives with clients; evaluates current systems; provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.
? Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
? A Bachelor's Degree
? 84 months experience in designing logical and physical database models.
? 84 months experience designing oracle databases including triggers and packages
? 84 months experience in performing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) techniques and flagging any failures.
? 60 months experience with SSIS design and development
? 60 months experience using SQL Reporting Services (SSRS)
? 60 months experience in SQL programming including writing complex queries utilizing JSON in Oracle.
? 36 months experience participating in meetings to understand data needs and communicate updates on data status. Maintaining detailed logs of data management activities and issues.
