Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing and prospective customers within assigned territory
  • Develop and grow territory sales through relationship-building and business development
  • Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions
  • Present products and services to prospective customers
  • Maintain product inventory and customer product needs within assigned accounts
  • Deliver products and samples to customers as needed
  • Report weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance metrics
  • Cross-sell additional company products when appropriate
  • Compare company products against competitors to demonstrate value
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams to improve sales strategy and territory growth
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and customer activity updates
  • Travel throughout the territory and maintain strong customer coverage

Qualifications Section - Needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2+ years of outside sales, territory sales, or foodservice sales experience preferred
  • Experience or strong background in foodservice distribution, Center of the Plate products, or related food industry sales
  • Strong CRM software experience and customer account management background
  • Proven ability to develop business relationships and achieve sales goals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing a sales territory
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record required
  • Ability to travel extensively and drive long distances
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and handle product samples/deliveries
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills
