About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to plan, execute, and deliver mission-critical data center construction and infrastructure projects in Meridian, MS. This role will lead end-to-end project delivery for new builds, expansions, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning efforts. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, excels at cross-functional coordination, and can manage complex, multi-vendor projects from concept through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of data center projects, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules covering design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and decommissioning activities.
  • Create and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and overall financial planning and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including facilities, infrastructure, network teams, and external vendors.
  • Coordinate and oversee multiple vendors and contractors to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Ensure safety, compliance, security, and regulatory standards are maintained throughout all phases of project delivery.
  • Support capacity planning initiatives and contribute to long-term data center strategy and roadmap efforts.
  • Track risks, issues, change requests, and dependencies; proactively resolve conflicts and roadblocks.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and dashboards to support leadership visibility.
  • Travel to other facilities or project sites as needed to support business and project requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of project management experience in data center, construction, or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, racks, structured cabling, and networking.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-vendor, cross-functional projects.
  • Prior experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) implementations is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
  • Ability to align project tasks and technical solutions with business requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently, and proactively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Primarily onsite in Meridian, MS, with flexibility to support hybrid work where appropriate based on project needs.
  • Travel required to other data center locations or project sites as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meridian, MS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $68.00/hr.
