Job Summary
What You’ll Do
• Manage Jira tools hosted on-premises and perform application-level upgrades
• Troubleshoot issues, proactively optimize applications, and perform system cleanup
• Educate engineering teams on Jira and Atlassian best practices
• Design, maintain, and enhance monitoring and alerting using New Relic and Splunk
• Build and expand self-service tools and automation for users and administrators
• Partner with infrastructure teams to ensure software and hardware are patched and up to date
• Evaluate Atlassian Cloud and lead preparation efforts for upcoming Jira Cloud migration
• Support enterprise-level integrations and platform reliability initiatives
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Jira Data Center system administration experience at enterprise scale
• 2+ years of Jira Cloud system administration experience at enterprise scale
• Hands-on experience with Jira Cloud preparation and migration
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing both front-end and back-end technical challenges in enterprise environments
• Proficiency in RedHat Linux system administration and programming
• Fluency in Java, scripting languages, Oracle, and SQL databases
• Working knowledge of Atlassian tools, GitHub, and orchestration tools
• Experience with enterprise-level integrations (e.g., Jira–GitHub)
• Strong communication skills with a customer support mindset, able to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical users
• Growing interest and exposure to AI systems and emerging technologies
Nice to Have
• Experience with Confluence Cloud and Confluence Cloud migration
