About the RoleCOT Southern Field Services is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused
Desktop Support Technician to join our team in the London, KY area. This role provides both remote and in-person technical support to agency users, making strong communication and customer service skills just as important as technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Provide hands-on and remote desktop support to end users
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software in a Windows-based environment
- Perform basic network troubleshooting
- Document issues, resolutions, and follow-up actions
- Maintain and track equipment as needed
- Support users professionally and effectively, ensuring a positive service experience
- Lift and carry heavy equipment and work in physically demanding positions when required
- Travel locally as needed to support field operations
Required Qualifications- 1-2 years of desktop support experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and common desktop applications
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods
Preferred Skills- Experience supporting government or enterprise environments
- Familiarity with ticketing systems
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
