Datastage ETL Developer - Philadelphia - Hybrid - 68305

Pay Rate : $40 -$45/hr

We have an immediate opportunity for a DataStage ETL Developer to join a dynamic data engineering team supporting enterprise data integration and warehousing initiatives. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with experience in Data Warehousing and ETL development, with strong hands-on expertise in IBM DataStage and Oracle database technologies. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting scalable ETL solutions that enable accurate, timely, and high-performance data delivery across enterprise platforms.

The primary responsibilities include building and maintaining ETL jobs using IBM DataStage (8.x / 11.x preferred), developing advanced SQL and PL/SQL solutions in Oracle (11g/12c/19c), and supporting data movement across Enterprise Data Warehouse environments including EDW, ODS, and Data Marts. Candidates should have strong understanding of ETL concepts such as Change Data Capture (CDC), incremental loads, Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), data reconciliation, and error handling frameworks. Experience in performance tuning of DataStage jobs, Oracle queries, and large-volume batch processing is essential. Additional responsibilities include working with Unix/Linux shell scripting, supporting job automation through Tidal or equivalent schedulers, and collaborating with analysts, architects, and business stakeholders for successful data delivery.

To be successful in this position, one needs to be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in fast-paced enterprise environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to deliver robust ETL solutions with high data quality and reliability. Experience in production support, release deployments, and data governance practices will be an added advantage.
