Senior Data Modeler - 68300
Pay Rate: $45- $50/hr
We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Data Modeler to join a high-impact team supporting enterprise data platforms in electric utility and other mission-critical operational environments. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in designing and managing large-scale data models that enable reliable, secure, and scalable business operations. The Senior Data Modeler will be responsible for developing logical, conceptual, and physical data models that support EMS Reliance Services and related enterprise systems while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance across complex environments.
The selected candidate will work closely with engineering, enterprise architecture, application development, and operations teams to define data standards, optimize database structures, and support integration workflows across multiple systems. Responsibilities include data normalization, metadata management, schema governance, performance tuning, data lineage documentation, and supporting high-availability solutions for real-time operational data platforms. Strong expertise in relational databases, data warehousing concepts, ETL integrations, and enterprise data governance practices is required. Experience with utility systems, SCADA, EMS, grid operations, or other real-time critical infrastructure environments will be highly preferred.
To be successful in this position, one needs to be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of translating complex business and operational requirements into efficient and scalable data architectures. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, hands-on experience with enterprise modeling tools, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams in a fast-paced environment. Experience with cloud data platforms, API integrations, and modern data engineering practices will be an added advantage.
