Strong hands-on experience with Azure services such as ADLS Gen2, Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, Azure Data Factory, and integration components is required. The role will involve managing Databricks workspaces, cluster policies, ADF/SHIR configurations, ADLS permissions and zones, Power BI gateway topology, and enterprise integration touchpoints. Candidates should also have experience establishing observability frameworks using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights, Splunk, and scheduler tools such as Tidal, ensuring alerts, thresholds, and incident response playbooks are standardized and continuously optimized.
Additional responsibilities include owning CI/CD operational readiness through Azure DevOps pipelines, repos, and boards; supporting CAB/RFC processes in Ivanti; driving secure platform changes including patching, certificate renewals, secret rotation, rollback planning, and audit evidence management. The candidate will collaborate with Data Ops and FinOps teams to implement cost and stability guardrails through tagging, policy controls, automation, and self-service solutions. Strong experience in Azure Databricks cost optimization is expected, including cluster right-sizing, autoscaling, auto-termination, and instance pool management. Hands-on experience installing and administering HVR Hub and agents across Azure and on-prem environments, along with managing Fivetran connectors for SaaS applications, databases, and event sources, will be highly preferred.
To be successful in this position, one needs to be proactive, highly organized, and technically strong in cloud platform operations, with excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills. The ideal candidate should be capable of balancing governance, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency while supporting fast-paced enterprise data initiatives.
