SAP Ariba CRE / SCC Configuration Lead - Independent Consultants

Job Description:
The Ariba CRE / SCC Configuration Lead will serve as the primary technical and functional resource responsible for translating the existing Collins Aerospace supplier portal functionality and legacy SAP Supplier Network Collaboration (SNC) capabilities into the out-of-the-box feature set provided by SAP Ariba Collaborative Requisitioning Engine (CRE), Supplier Collaboration Center (SCC), and the Ariba Supplier Business Network (SBN).
This role is responsible for approximately 80% of the overall portal migration scope and requires deep, hands-on expertise with Ariba SCC/CRE configuration, SNC-to-SBN transition patterns, and supplier onboarding processes. The successful candidate will partner closely with Collins functional stakeholders and integration teams to ensure a seamless, feature-complete transition from the legacy portal environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the functional discovery and gap analysis process to map current supplier portal capabilities and SNC transactions to equivalent Ariba CRE/SCC/SBN functionality
• Configure and stand up SAP Ariba CRE and SCC environments per Collins business requirements, leveraging out-of-the-box capabilities to their fullest extent before recommending customization
• Drive the SNC-to-Ariba SBN migration, including supplier data migration, transaction history mapping, and business process alignment
• Define and execute Ariba SBN supplier enablement and onboarding strategy, coordinating with Collins supplier-facing teams
• Collaborate with the Work Stream 2 BTP team to identify integration touchpoints and define APIs or event-driven interfaces between the Ariba SCC/SBN platform and SAP BTP extensions
• Develop and maintain functional design specifications, configuration workbooks, and test scripts aligned to Collins solution design standards
• Lead system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) for all CRE/SCC/SBN scope, including coordination with Collins stakeholders
• Support decommissioning planning for the legacy Liferay/SNC environments, ensuring functional coverage is validated before cutover
• Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to Collins internal team to enable ongoing operations post-engagement

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP Ariba implementation experience, with a minimum of 2 full lifecycle deployments involving Ariba SCC or CRE
• Deep expertise in SAP Ariba Supplier Collaboration Center (SCC) configuration, including order collaboration, ASN processing, invoice management, and supplier self-service
• Demonstrated experience migrating from SAP Supplier Network Collaboration (SNC) to Ariba SBN
• Proficiency with Ariba Network supplier enablement, trading partner management, and document transaction flows
• Strong understanding of SAP procurement and supply chain master data structures (vendor master, purchasing org, info records)
• Experience with Ariba integration patterns using SAP Integration Suite (CPI) or equivalent middleware
• Proven ability to translate custom portal functionality into standard SaaS platform features with minimal customization
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical business users

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Collins Aerospace, RTX, or comparable defense/aerospace supplier ecosystems
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Procurement and how it interfaces with Ariba SBN via SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing or integration center
• SAP Ariba certification in Procurement, Supplier Management, or related area
• Experience with supplier portal UX design within Ariba and SBN guided buying configurations
• Knowledge of EDI standards (cXML, ANSI X12) and electronic trading partner connectivity
