Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate Engineer (Level 1) to support utility-scale solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and power plant operations. This role will assist with engineering analysis, project coordination, site onboarding, technical documentation, and operational support for renewable energy assets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering foundation, an interest in renewable energy technologies, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to improve plant performance, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support engineering assignments for solar, BESS, and power generation facilities
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and performance reporting
  • Perform technical analysis and develop engineering documentation
  • Support onboarding of new sites including technical and administrative tasks
  • Ensure engineering designs meet performance, safety, and compliance standards
  • Assist in monitoring plant systems and operational performance
  • Prepare reports, cost estimates, and construction support documentation
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Promote a safe and collaborative working environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering
  • 0 5 years of engineering experience
  • Experience with engineering studies, analysis, and technical documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional project environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of:
    • Utility-scale solar systems
    • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
    • Power plant operations
    • Controls systems
    • Alarm management
  • Understanding of Six Sigma / quality processes
  • Exposure to electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering systems
  • Familiarity with engineering software tools such as ETAP or EDISON

Candidates with exposure to one or more of the following are preferred:
