Responsibilities:
  • Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering.
  • Review and analyze multifaceted engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Contribute to resolving complex situations while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate strategically with client personnel.
  • Support existing SmallTalk applications and modernize legacy systems to Java.
  • Act as a Lead, organizing projects and leveraging extensive experience.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 10+ years of SmallTalk development experience.
  • Ability to package and deploy applications built with SmallTalk in non-production environments.
  • Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server as a database is preferred.
  • Clear understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques and design principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn business processes quickly.

Pay Range: $80 - $90
