Salary Range: $98,000 - $145,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Muskegon region seeking IT Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain all IT infrastructure and systems across manufacturing operations.
• Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with production goals and company objectives.
• Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
• Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of all critical data and systems.
• Lead and mentor a team of IT support specialists and technicians.
• Optimize IT resources and processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime in production.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand technology needs and provide solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT hardware, software, and services.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and other manufacturing-specific software.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cybersecurity protocols, and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, manage projects, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and other production-related software.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices within a manufacturing context.
• Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or other relevant project management or service management methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) in a manufacturing setting.
