Summary

Job Title: Senior MDM  Architect
Location: Warren, NJ (I
nitially Remote)
Client: MSIG Insurance 

Key Responsibilities
MDM Architecture & Design
Lead end-to-end MDM solution architecture using IBM InfoSphere MDM Server (Standard / Advanced Editions).
Define master data models for core domains such as Customer, Party, Policy, Product, and Reference Data.
Design scalable, high-availability, and performance-optimized MDM architectures.
Define MDM implementation strategies including registry, coexistence, and centralized styles.
IBM InfoSphere MDM Expertise
Architect and implement solutions using IBM InfoSphere MDM Server, including:
Data modeling and domain design
Match, merge, and survivorship rules
Transaction services and batch processing
Custom extensions, user exits, and event management
Guide teams on MDM Workbench, InfoSphere Data Explorer, and MDM UI customization.
Drive version upgrades, migrations, and platform modernization initiatives.
Design integrations between MDM and downstream/upstream systems using:
REST/SOAP services
ETL tools and batch frameworks
Collaborate with data governance teams on data quality, stewardship, lineage, and metadata management.
Provide architectural guidance and comparison for other MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM).
Support hybrid MDM ecosystems and coexistence strategies where multiple tools are involved.
Evaluate new tools and technologies relevant to MDM, data management, and cloud platforms.
Act as a technical leader and mentor for MDM developers and data engineers.
Define best practices, standards, and reusable frameworks.
Support project planning, estimations, and risk mitigation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years of overall IT experience with extensive hands-on experience in IBM InfoSphere MDM Server.
Strong expertise in MDM architecture, data modeling, match/merge logic, and survivorship.
Proven experience in large-scale enterprise MDM implementations.
Strong understanding of SOA, APIs, messaging, and integration patterns.
Experience working in US Insurance domain.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
