Job Title: Software Engineer 4 / Lead AI Engineer (GenAI & Agent Frameworks)

Location: Charlotte, NC (CIC) - Hybrid (3 days onsite required; Mon-Wed)

Contract Length: 7 months (through year-end; potential extension or conversion)

Pay Rate: $69 - $74
Top Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Python and/or Java development experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying LLM-based AI applications
  • Experience with AI frameworks (Google ADK, LangGraph, or LangChain) and data engineering
  • Plusses:
  • Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and prompt engineering
  • Experience with OpenShift (OCP) and containerized deployments
  • Experience with AI observability (model drift, monitoring, evaluation)
  • Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, and SDLC tools
  • Experience in financial services or automation of operational workflows
  • Job Summary:

    In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangible or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
    Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
    AI & LLM Development
    • Design, develop, and deploy AI applications using LLMs and agent frameworks
    • Implement prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and generative AI solutions
    • Develop agentic systems leveraging frameworks like Google ADK, LangGraph, or LangChain
    Engineering & Development
    • Build scalable applications using Python, Java, and containerized environments
    • Develop and maintain services using OpenShift and microservices architecture
    • Integrate AI models with enterprise systems and workflows
    Data Engineering & Pipelines
    • Build and manage data pipelines to support AI/ML workloads
    • Implement feature engineering and data processing solutions for model training
    AI Optimization & Monitoring
    • Monitor model performance, drift, accuracy, and reliability
    • Implement guardrails, context management, and memory handling for enterprise AI systems
    • Troubleshoot complex model and system issues
    Collaboration & Delivery
    • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver AI solutions
    • Participate in Agile development using Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, and Confluence
    • Ensure solutions meet enterprise compliance, security, and risk standards
    Leadership & Mentorship
    • Lead initiatives and mentor junior engineers on AI and software engineering best practices
    • Drive innovation and adoption of AI technologies across the organization
    • Promote team collaboration and shared ownership of deliverables
