Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. As a Senior Engineering Technician, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.

Responsibilities:

Communicate and may set appropriate design and graphic standards

Review project requirements and accurately determine the correct format and contents of the required deliverables

Promote quality within project/group/section

Review design inputs in order to ensure consistency

Assist to ensure deliverables are in compliance with the specific codes and standards in force for the project

May contribute to the continuous improvement of guides and standards

May participate in and lead process improvement activities and assignments

Responsible for drawing control and historical records, utilizing the appropriate method, as established by the project

Demonstrate personal accuracy and drive continual improvement and change management efforts

Apply basic engineering principles and established design practices in developing complex design concepts and deliverables

Apply judgment and make decisions with respect to deliverables and input interpretation

Capable of handling difficult technical assignments within an area of expertise and can provide technical guidance to other professionals

Perform design calculations, detailed material quantities and estimates, and records

May review the deliverables of others

May coordinate the presentation, delegate production design, or other electronic applications

May monitor production to assure consistency, budget, and schedule of the deliverables

May program control systems or participate in other plant start-up activities associated with a specialized area of expertise

Coordinate with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development

May support field activities

Communicate project design requirements, progress, and schedules

Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers and may determine the key clients in some instances

Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns

Assist discipline or department management in developing and communicating appropriate design standards and process improvement activities

Identify training and development needs for personnel they supervise and may participate in training efforts

Recognized for expertise in one or more areas

May be assigned special assignments depending on technical expertise

Assignments may involve solving a particular design problem or participating in a design team focused on completing an assigned project task

Make presentations and conduct training classes within a specialized area of expertise

Qualifications:

Experience using AutoCad Electrical (ACADE) with SDS (Substation Design Suite) in the substation industry

Experience with Bentley Microstation 3D

11 years of experience minimum

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $110,000 or the hourly equivalent.
