Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. As a Senior Engineering Technician, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Establish and communicate appropriate design and graphic standards
Review project requirements to determine correct formats and deliverable content
Promote quality and consistency across projects, groups, and sections
Review design inputs to ensure alignment and consistency
Ensure deliverables comply with applicable codes and standards
May contribute to continuous improvement of design guides, standards, and processes
May participate and lead process improvement and change management activities
Manage drawing control and maintain historical project records
Apply engineering principles and established design practices to complex designs
Exercise sound judgment in interpreting inputs and making deliverable-related decisions
Handle complex technical assignments and provide guidance to other professionals
Perform design calculations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, and documentation
May review deliverables produced by others for quality and accuracy
May coordinate presentations, production design, and use of electronic design tools
May monitor production to ensure consistency, budget, and schedule
May program control systems or support plant start-up activities within area of expertise
Coordinate with other design groups to exchange information for design development
May support field activities as required
Communicate project design requirements, progress, and schedules
Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers and may determine the key clients in some instances
Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns
Assist discipline or department management in developing and communicating appropriate design standards and process improvement activities
Identify and support training and development needs for supervised personnel
Recognized for expertise in one or more areas
May be assigned special assignments depending on technical expertise
Assignments may involve solving a particular design problem or participating in a design team focused on completing an assigned project task
Make presentations and conduct training classes within a specialized area of expertise
Qualifications:
Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience
Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology
The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $110,000 or the hourly equivalent.
