Summary

A rapidly growing technology consulting organization is seeking a PMO Lead/ Delivery Manager to support a large public sector engagement onsite in Jackson, MS. This individual will play a key leadership role in helping stand up and mature program governance, with a strong emphasis on building structure, driving accountability, and establishing PMO best practices within an active client environment.

This role requires a highly adaptable leader who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments. The ideal candidate has experience working with government entities, has helped build or lead a PMO, and can effectively partner with technical teams delivering custom software solutions for external stakeholders. Strong functional and IT acumen is essential, along with the ability to step in, solve problems, and provide leadership when priorities shift.

This role will require someone to work onsite 4-5 days per week in Jackson, Mississippi.
Contract Duration: 6-12 months

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of experience in program management, delivery management, or client-facing leadership roles
Experience working onsite with government or public sector entities
Experience standing up, leading, or maturing a PMO
Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
Experience working closely with software development teams building custom applications
Strong functional and technical understanding of enterprise IT environments
Ability to pivot quickly, solve problems, and drive resolution in dynamic environments
Self-starter with strong executive communication skills

PMP or similar certification
