Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Agile delivery, Jira, and enterprise governance and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver business value, remove impediments, and improve flow.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Agile teams and ensure adherence to Scrum practices and principles.
- Plan and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Use Jira to manage backlogs, track work, and report progress.
- Create, maintain, and execute project plans across multiple concurrent efforts.
- Manage governance routines, including daily and weekly checkpoints, tollgates, PI preparation, and repository documentation updates.
- Execute Enterprise Change Management requirements and align to BAC Enterprise Change Standards, including change controls, risks, and approvals.
- Identify and remove team impediments quickly to maintain delivery momentum.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and negotiate with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Integrate with project, technology, and business partners to gather status with minimal disruption and provide clear weekly updates using standard templates.
- Synthesize complex data into actionable reports and presentations, translating technical details for non-technical audiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Agile experience, including hands-on Scrum Master experience.
- Project management experience beyond Scrum facilitation, with the ability to manage complex projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Jira for backlog management, tracking, and reporting.
- Experience in Release Management and Program Increment (PI) preparation.
- Understanding of Enterprise Change Management and BAC Enterprise Change Standards, including change controls and approvals.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills with stakeholder influence and negotiation capability at executive and partner levels.
- Experience establishing governance documentation such as playbooks, RACI matrices, and checkpoints.
- Scrum Master Certification such as CSM or PSM.
Preferred Skills:
- Broader exposure to Agile frameworks, including Kanban and XP practices.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
