Job Description


We are seeking a Workday Developer to join our dynamic team onsite in Charlotte. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Workday configuration across Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, Time, Absence, Benefits, Integrations, and Reporting and a proven ability to administer complex business processes, optimize HR workflows, and deliver compliant, audit-ready solutions.


Responsibilities:



  • Configure complex Workday business processes with emphasis on Payroll, Time, and Absence.

  • Perform tenant configuration, data loads, integrations, and reporting administration.

  • Review procedures and workflows to maximize use of Workday features and improve efficiency.

  • Operate within Sandbox and controlled environments, defining, documenting, and enforcing standards.

  • Provide pre- and post-launch support, change management, testing, training, and issue resolution.

  • Execute mass data loads via EIBs and validate integration inputs and outputs for transactional changes.

  • Create reports and apply them to audit configuration effectiveness.

  • Document technology specifications for current and future configuration.

  • Maintain change management documentation to satisfy internal and external audit controls and compliance.

  • Apply Workday Implementation Methodology across projects.

  • Serve as domain support for feature releases and issue resolution, partnering with the Workday Architect to scope, prioritize, plan, and implement enhancements.

  • Maintain working knowledge of HR processes and systems, driving collaboration and quality support.

  • Engage in Workday Community, User Groups, and Conferences to foster relationships and knowledge sharing.

  • Support business partners and enhance stakeholder understanding of Workday.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Proficiency configuring Workday business processes, especially Payroll, Time, and Absence.

  • Experience with tenant configuration, EIB mass loads, integrations testing, and reporting.

  • Knowledge of Workday business process design, core setup, and security framework.

  • Understanding of Workday data model, corporate architecture, interfaces, and data loading procedures.

  • Ability to create actionable reports for auditing and change effectiveness measurement.

  • Clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders at multiple levels.

  • Experience with cloud-based multi-tenant systems and controlled change practices.

  • 3+ years of Workday HCM experience.


Preferred Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Workday Pro or Workday Certifications.

  • Depth in at least three modules: Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, Time, Absence, Benefits.

  • Workday Integrations experience.

  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira.

Work Arrangement: Onsite required (Charlotte: NC1-028-27-04).


Project: Various initiatives within HR Technology.


Hours per Day: 8.


Labor Type: Technical.
