Job Description

We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our Enterprise Risk Finance Technology - Global Funding Investment and Insurance Technology (GFIIT) team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-stack Java development, Spring, Angular, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD and a proven ability to design, build, and maintain highly available treasury and CIO-supporting applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications using Java and modern front-end technologies.


• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and integrations with external systems.


• Develop responsive UI components using frameworks such as Angular.


• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code and conduct code reviews.


• Ensure quality through unit tests, integration tests, and debugging.


• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to deliver performant and resilient applications.


• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.


• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and container-based architectures.


• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years as a full-stack Java developer.


• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Angular, Node.js, Oracle, and SQL.


• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Hibernate.


• Practical knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tools: Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible.


• Design and development of RESTful web services with JSON.


• Experience with containers, microservices, cloud deployments, and secure coding principles.


• Experience with Tomcat/Apache application servers.


• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with ownership of technical challenges.


• Agile experience with Jira, acceptance criteria refinement, and version control practices.


• Skilled in unit testing and TDD using JUnit and Karma/Jasmine.


• Effective written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder interaction.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OpenShift, Unix, Kafka, and Splunk.


• Background in data analytics or data modeling.


• Financial services knowledge in capital markets, hedging, or cash management.
