Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer to join our Financial Crimes technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise data engineering and ETL across Teradata, Hadoop, and Informatica, and a proven ability to deliver secure, scalable solutions that support AML monitoring, surveillance, and analytics.


Responsibilities:



  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications supporting Financial Crimes initiatives.

  • Collaborate with business partners to refine user stories, define requirements, and estimate delivery effort.

  • Perform proof of concept work to mitigate risk and validate new ideas and technologies.

  • Build and automate CI/CD pipelines and support change management across environments.

  • Partner with Production Support, Platform teams, and upstream/downstream application owners to manage releases, platform upgrades, and integrations.

  • Lead data sourcing, analysis, modeling, and provisioning for large-scale AML and surveillance data assets.

  • Execute database-intensive development, migrations, and conversions with a focus on performance and quality.

  • Apply best practices and data governance standards across projects and programs.

  • Analyze present-state and define alternative future-state approaches, plans, and success measures.

  • Communicate status, risks, and timelines to managers, peers, and business stakeholders.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of software development and data engineering experience in enterprise environments.

  • Proficiency in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, TPT, and performance tuning for large datasets.

  • Hands-on expertise with Informatica 10.x for ETL design, development, and optimization.

  • Experience with Cloudera CDP and Hadoop ecosystem tools such as Hive, Impala, PySpark, and Scala.

  • Strong Unix skills with ability to develop shell scripts and automate operational tasks.

  • Proficiency with Autosys job scheduling and pipeline orchestration.

  • Demonstrated capability in data sourcing, data modeling, and provisioning for AML and surveillance domains.

  • Experience executing database migrations and conversions with attention to quality and controls.

  • Working knowledge of Agile, SDLC, and CI/CD using Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible.

  • Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and requirement discovery skills.


Preferred Skills:



  • Business knowledge in Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes.

  • Experience coordinating distributed development teams and end-to-end design/build leadership.
