Job Description


We are seeking an experienced data-focused Application Programmer to develop, enhance, and maintain applications within Financial Crimes technology. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Teradata, ETL, big data ecosystems, and CI/CD, and a proven ability to deliver scalable data sourcing, modeling, and provisioning solutions that support AML monitoring and surveillance.


Responsibilities:



  • Design, code, test, debug, and document data-intensive applications for Financial Crimes use cases.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to refine stories, define requirements, and plan success measures.

  • Estimate effort and deliver work across the full development lifecycle in Agile environments.

  • Perform proofs of concept to mitigate risk and validate new ideas or technologies.

  • Implement and automate CI/CD pipelines using Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible.

  • Coordinate change management, maintenance, and platform upgrades with Production Support and Platform teams.

  • Build innovative data provisioning models for large-scale AML and surveillance data assets.

  • Execute database-centric development, migrations, and conversions with performance tuning.

  • Promote best practices, governance, and standards across projects and programs.

  • Ensure adherence to Agile practices and Enterprise Change Standards.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of software development with emphasis on data engineering and ETL.

  • Teradata 16.x, advanced SQL/BTEQ, TPT, and performance tuning.

  • Informatica 10.x for ETL development and optimization.

  • UNIX and strong shell scripting skills; Autosys scheduling.

  • Cloudera CDP ecosystem including Hadoop, Hive, Impala, PySpark, and Scala.

  • Proven data sourcing, data modeling, and data provisioning expertise for large-scale datasets.

  • Hands-on design, build, and coordination of distributed development efforts.

  • SDLC and Agile delivery with CI/CD tools: Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible.

  • Effective communication, listening, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.


Preferred Skills:



  • Business knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes domains.

  • Experience leading data analysis and modeling practices with governance at scale.
