Senior Quality Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Apply risk-based testing strategies to prioritize validation efforts based on business and technical impact
* Quickly develop domain knowledge including product workflows, user behavior, architecture, and failure points
* Identify and validate 3-5 critical user journeys to ensure core functionality and stability
* Design and execute exploratory and structured test approaches aligned to risk models
* Build and evolve automation frameworks for high-value, repeatable scenarios
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality validation
* Perform API, UI, data, and integration testing across distributed systems
* Conduct performance, load, and scalability testing to ensure system resilience
* Analyze logs, monitor environments, and proactively identify defects and risks
* Track and report quality metrics including defect trends, risk mitigation, and validation timelines
* Communicate risks, scope, and quality insights clearly to stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience with test design, exploratory testing, and risk-based validation
* Experienced with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
* Experienced with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured
* CI/CD integration (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) experience
* SQL and data validation testing experience
* Performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner) experience
* Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture
* Experience with defect tracking, version control (Git), and QA standards

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
